We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead/Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, hybrid role with a strong preference for candidates based in Bangalore, though other locations can be discussed for exceptional profiles. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in AWS, strong Linux background, and significant hands-on DevOps leadership experience.
Responsibilities
•Design, implement, and manage robust, scalable, and secure CI/CD pipelines for diverse applications.
•Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Docker, Amazon ECS, and Amazon EKS.
•Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
•Manage and optimize key AWS services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
•Work closely with development and operations teams to establish DevOps best practices, enhance system reliability, and resolve technical issues.
•Implement proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health, performance, and security.
•Stay updated on the latest AWS and DevOps tools and technologies, recommending enhancements to existing systems.
•Mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performance engineering culture.
•Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding infrastructure updates, deployments, and requirements.
Desired Skills:
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience — more is highly preferred.
- At least 5+ years of solid, hands-on DevOps experience in production environments.
- Proven expertise in designing, automating, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, etc.).
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS (expert level preferred). Note: AWS expertise is mandatory; strong Azure experience is not required.
- Strong background in Linux environments (preferred) and minimal exposure to Windows.
- Expertise in containerization tools such as Docker, and orchestration platforms including ECS and/or EKS.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation tasks.
- Extensive experience with AWS infrastructure automation and management tools.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
- Must currently be in a Lead role or have recent experience leading DevOps initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with Databricks environments or managing Databricks pipelines is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with monitoring/logging solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, etc.).
